The JP KS MV012 is the racing ignition switch for the F3 800, with the connector the motorcycle already has and nothing in the loom cut.

The Bigger Triple
MV enlarged the F3 and gave it the midrange the 675 lacked, which turned a beautiful motorcycle into a usable one. The later machines take their own ignition parts.
The Steering Lock Goes
Removing the barrel removes the lock with it. On a road bike that matters; on a machine in a van between circuits it does not.
The Button
A single sealed push button doing what the key did: arm the ignition, then kill it. There is nothing else to learn about operating it.
The Transponder Ring
On bikes with an immobiliser the aerial sits around the barrel. Remove the block and the starting circuit loses it, which needs solving separately.
The Weight, Honestly
Three hundred and fifty grams will not be felt on a lap time. What it does is take mass off the steering head, which is the best place to lose it.
Fitted Once
There is no service interval, nothing to lubricate and nothing to adjust. The switch is sealed and the body does not wear.
The Ignition Block Is Three Things
A lock, a switch and on newer machines an immobiliser aerial. Racing removes the reason for the first and the third, and this part covers the second.
An Older Motorcycle
Barrels seize, keys wear and the switch pack inside eventually goes intermittent. On a machine already destined for a circuit, replacement is the moment to change approach.
Fitted Before the Bodywork
If the machine is being stripped anyway, this belongs in the same session. Doing it later means removing the tank a second time for twenty minutes of work.
What It Is Not
It is not a security device, not a performance part and not a road modification. It removes a lock that a trailered motorcycle has no use for and takes some weight off the worst place on the chassis to be carrying it.
