The JP ES 002 removes the evaporative emissions hardware from the Panigale 1299 S and frees the space it occupied, which on most models is space somebody else already wants.

Ohlins Semi-Active
The S carries electronically managed suspension with the second generation control software, which was a considerable specification in 2015 and remains competitive now.
A Monitored Purge Valve
The solenoid that meters stored vapour into the inlet tract is checked electrically. Unplugging it alone writes a fault, so the circuit is completed rather than abandoned.
Type Approval
Evaporative control belongs to the approval in the markets that mandate it, and removing it there moves the motorcycle into competition use.
A Bigger Tank Works It Harder
The Multistradas carry more fuel and produce proportionally more vapour while the canister stays the same size. Saturation arrives sooner on those machines.
A Job for an Amateur
No specialist tooling, no diagnostic access and no manufacturer software. Anybody comfortable removing a seat and a tank can complete it in one session.
A Small Job With a Long Explanation
The work takes an evening and the reasoning behind it takes rather longer to set out, which is a fair description of most emissions modifications.
What the Vent Fitting Costs
Almost nothing, and it is the difference between a clean conversion and a fuel smell every time the motorcycle is moved in the garage.
Why Owners Remove It
It is a plastic drum with several hoses and a purge valve, tucked into whatever space Ducati could find, and on most models that space is exactly where an exhaust, a shock reservoir or a set of luggage brackets wants to go. Removing it frees a genuinely useful volume and takes a surprising amount of hose out of the motorcycle.
The Rollover Valve
Between the tank and the canister sits a valve that closes if the motorcycle goes over, and it is not part of the emissions system at all. It stays where it is, and anybody removing hoses in that area should be clear about which one they are looking at before cutting a tie.
