The Cheapest Way to Stop Looking Like the Base Model
A 950 and an 1198 sit next to each other and most people cannot tell which is which from ten metres. The badges are small and the silhouette is shared, which suits some owners fine and irritates others.
This panel is where that changes. It is the first thing anyone looks at, it is the largest single surface on the front of the bike, and in carbon it makes a 950 look like a deliberate build rather than an entry point.
It Still Holds the Headlight
Whatever the cosmetic argument, the mechanical one does not go away: the lamp behind this panel has a regulated aim. Set the beam against a wall at a known distance before riding at night, and if the bike is a 950 S with cornering lights, have that function checked rather than assumed.
