DescriptionThe whole story▼
SM51A is Bonamici Racing's raised clip-on for 51 mm fork tubes, and CFMOTO's 675 SR-R has joined the short list of machines it is made for. The numbers tell you what it does: 26 mm higher and 18 mm further forward than the clamp centre, with the bar tilted 6.5 degrees down. That is a race-bike geometry that does not punish the wrists on the way to the circuit.
Key Features
- 51 mm clamp diameter, matched to the 675 SR-R fork tubes.
- 26 mm rise and 18 mm offset, with the tube inclined 6.5° downward.
- 245 mm tube, 225 mm of it usable for controls and grip.
- Replaceable brackets and tubes: a bent tube after a tip-over is spare RASM_2 (with its end cap TASM_2), not a new clip-on.
- Machined from solid high-strength aluminium and anodised against fluids. 100 % made in Italy.
What the Rise Changes
Lower is not automatically faster. A bar that sits too low loads the wrists under braking and makes it harder to move the body across the bike at the chicane. The 26 mm rise of SM51A puts some of that height back while still taking the grips forward and down into a racing position. Riders coming from a naked bike or doing long track days tend to feel the difference in the last session of the day rather than the first.
A Clip-On You Can Repair
The bracket clamps the fork tube with M8 10.9 screws at 18 Nm, and the tube itself is held by M6 10.9 screws at 9 to 12 Nm. Because the tube is a separate part, a crash usually means one tube and a new cap. Bonamici also warns never to tie the motorcycle down by its handlebar tubes during transport — strap to the clamps or the frame instead.
Fitment and Compatibility
Listed by Bonamici for:
- CFMOTO 675 SR-R — model years 2025 and 2026
Check cable and hose length at full lock before the first ride; the raised position changes the routing slightly.
Road Approval
No ABE or EC type-approval is published, and Bonamici marks its products for competition use. Handlebar changes on a German-registered motorcycle require an individual inspection.
