On the road it holds the bike at a gate; at a circuit it becomes a way of settling the chassis between one input and the next, applied in amounts too small to register on a speedometer. Accossato's AGPA42ZXC brings the ZXC ceramic racing material to the AGPA42 rear shape for the Ducati SuperSport 939, listed from 2017 to 2020 and described by the company as a ceramic compound for racing.

Construction and Material Quality
Choosing a racing material for the back wheel is a decision about precision rather than about power. Nobody stops a SuperSport 939 with its rear brake; they use it to keep the machine flat while the gearbox is worked down, to tighten a line that is running wide, and to hold a steady speed through the pit lane afterwards. Accossato places this ceramic compound in racing and leaves the road out of it. The AGPA42 carrier does not change, so the rear caliper takes the racing surface as readily as any other and can be put back to a road material just as quickly.
When the Pace Rises
A sports tourer at a circuit teaches its rider a lot about the right boot. In the early sessions the pedal is barely used, because there is enough time to do everything with the front. Later, as corners start joining up, small amounts of rear brake appear on entry, and the difference between a tidy lap and a scrappy one often comes down to how consistent those amounts are. That is a demand for predictability rather than for a stronger brake.
Because rear pads are easy to forget, they benefit from being part of the between-sessions check. Pull them out and look at them in daylight, keep cleaner and chain lubricant away from the rear disc, and clean the pistons before pressing them back into the caliper. Fit both pads together, bring the pedal back with several presses until it is firm, and give new material some untimed laps before the SuperSport 939 is ridden properly hard.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the rear of the SuperSport 939 the catalogue names 2017 to 2020, matching the front listing of the AGPA177 season for season. One caliper works back there and a single box equips it. Accossato does not list a disc of its own for this Ducati, so the pads pair with the standard items.
