DescriptionThe whole story▼
Classic-style twins have their own racing scene, from vintage-look cups to twins classes at club meetings. For a Kawasaki W800 built for that kind of event, Accossato offers the AGPA94 front pad in the EV2 racing compound, listed for 2011 to 2016 and 2019 to 2024, including the Cafe and Street of 2019 to 2022. It is meant for timed sessions and races, where the front brake is used at full effort lap after lap.

- Designed for repeated maximum stops
- Aimed at qualifying and race distance
- Same plate also comes as OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV2 as a top racing compound, for riders who brake at the limit on every lap. The maker further states that its pads keep heat under control, which limits fade, that they wear slowly and that they stop with great force. The EV2 material is carried on the AGPA94 plate.
Racing a Retro Twin
A W800 on a race track is all about momentum. The engine rewards smooth corner speed, so riders brake late and hard in a straight line and release cleanly towards the apex. Doing that on every lap needs a front pad that does not change character, and EV2 is designed for that kind of repetition.
Between sessions, check pad depth and disc condition, keep the fluid fresh and bleed it if the lever travel grows. Clean the pistons before pushing them back during a pad change, and let the brakes cool before the bike is covered. Riders who travel to several meetings a season often keep a spare set ready in the van, so a worn pair can be replaced without waiting.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA94 for the front of the W 800 of 2011 to 2016 and 2020 to 2024, and of the Cafe and Street versions of 2019 to 2022. There is no listing for 2017 or 2018, and the front entry stops at 2024. The rear pad is AGPA77, 2019 to 2026. One front disc, one box.
Road Approval
AGPA94EV2 is supplied without an ABE or approval mark and is intended for competition.
