Spark's own two sources disagree on the internal diameter of this insert. The article page gives 32 mm; the 2026 dealer price list gives 35 mm. Everything else — outer diameter, hole count, family — matches.

Evo5, Evo V, Same Silencer

The naming drifts between Spark's own documents. Evo5 on the website, Evo V in the price list, and occasionally both in the same paragraph. It is one family: the stainless case Spark fits to Triumph triples and similar machines.

If your silencer is marked either way, this is its insert.

Twenty-Eight Holes

A high count for a case this size, and it makes the insert an effective one. Many small openings give a large total flow area while still breaking the gas column thoroughly — the combination that lets a perforated plug take real noise out without strangling the engine.

Fifty-One and a Half Millimetres

The body diameter is shared with Spark's Grid-O inserts, which is a coincidence of case design rather than interchangeability — the Evo5 plug is perforated and the Grid-O ones are not. Order by family, not by outer diameter.

Where Spark supplies an Evo5 silencer homologated, the insert is part of the certified configuration and belongs in the exhaust. Where the case is sold as a racing article, no insert confers a certificate.
