DescriptionThe whole story▼
FX8250 has no P at the end of its number, and that small detail is worth noting when you compare it with the label on your old part. Shark lists it as LATERAL TRIM SET, in French KIT JOINTS LATERAUX, a complete side trim kit in black for 12.05 EUR.
Key Features
- Genuine Shark part FX8250
- Side trim set, supplied as a complete kit
- Black, the only listed version
- Universal size
- Listed weight 30 g
When to replace it
Side trims close the joint between shell parts along the flanks of the helmet. They get pinched every time the helmet is pulled on and off, and after a while the edge flattens, cracks or pulls out of its channel. Once a trim flaps or leaves a gap you can see light through, it no longer does its job and the helmet gets louder and draughtier on that side.
Ordering by part number
Neither the price list nor Shark's site ties FX8250 to a helmet model. Read the number on the trim you are removing or on the original bag. If it reads FX8250, with no suffix letter, this is the one; the SKU for the black version is FX8250BLKTU.
