Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced. Öhlins keeps tooling for older units, which is why parts remain available.

Why the Original

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00531-12 in this case. The published dimensions are dimension a 52 mm, dimension b 56.5 mm, dimension c 73 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Service parts are what make an Öhlins unit worth rebuilding rather than replacing. Where a part supersedes an older number, Öhlins states it in the catalogue.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00531-12

Category: Service Parts

Dimension A: 52 mm

Dimension B: 56.5 mm

Dimension C: 73 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00531-12_40223b18-75e7-4243-ba26-b96389e630ae.png?v=1788872149
