The seat face has to be flat enough for the first shim to seal against it.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 06755-02

Where It Sits

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Port area and shim seat geometry decide the damping curve before any adjuster is touched. Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually. Port area sets how much oil can pass before the shims begin to lift.

Why the Original

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

06755-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A scored piston face means oil bypasses the shims entirely. Needle geometry sets the shape of the adjustable range, not just its size.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06755-02

Category: Piston Holders

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06755-02_8237b25f-dc92-4012-ae1c-98a1ee9aedcf.png?v=1788877954
