The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Genuine Service Part

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 00636-24 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. The published dimensions are dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 300 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification. The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00636-24

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 300 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00636-24_9a2e7894-98c9-4a3b-9b40-ac613a9a7342.png?v=1788869963
