Length is a specification because it defines where the progressive part of the stroke begins.

Key Features

Dimension B 38 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension A 12 mm

Öhlins part number 24630-02

Dimension C 25 mm

What It Is

Öhlins gives it as 12 mm, 38 mm, 25 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Öhlins tunes bump stop length and stiffness to the stroke of the unit. The bump stop takes the last part of the stroke and keeps metal off metal. A bump stop that has gone hard transmits the impact rather than absorbing it.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 24630-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 38 mm, dimension c 25 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. A bump stop that has gone hard transmits the impact rather than absorbing it. The bump stop takes the last part of the stroke and keeps metal off metal.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 24630-02

Category: Bump Stops

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 38 mm

Dimension C: 25 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/24630-02_5c7dbcea-6984-4ec3-b394-791fee42270c.png?v=1788878369
