One Hundred and Twenty-Two Grand Prix Wins
Giacomo Agostini's record with MV Agusta remains the most successful partnership between a rider and a manufacturer in the sport's history. Thirteen of his fifteen world titles came on MV machinery between 1966 and 1973.
What the Edition Consists Of
A specific livery referencing the racing bikes, a numbered plaque, Agostini's signature and a higher specification than the standard F3 800. MV produced it in a limited run and sold it on the strength of the name.
Ridden Rather Than Stored
MV's limited editions are generally bought by motorcyclists rather than investors, which means they accumulate mileage. The standard switch assembly on a bike being used properly starts to feel indistinct within a few seasons.
Changes That Undo
Any modification to a numbered edition is judged by whether the original can be refitted without trace. This unit uses MV's own connector and the standard housing goes back on at any point, which is the condition under which it belongs here at all.
Universal Clamp Geometry
The switch mounts alongside the front master cylinder clamp, and the plate accepts both aligned and offset bolt arrangements. On a bike whose brake may have been revised, that removes a question rather than raising one.
Three Finishes
Black, red and titanium. The Ago livery already carries red and silver, so red continues something present rather than adding to it, while black stays out of the way entirely.
Sealed Against a Wet Season
Sealed switch elements inside a body milled from one block. Water running down a clip-on in heavy rain has nowhere to enter, which is what determines how the assembly feels after several European winters.
