The JP ACC KT016 swaps the 890 Duke's throttle assembly for one cut from solid aluminium, with an internal profile that reaches full opening in sixty degrees.

The Naked Twin Grown Up
KTM enlarged the 790 and sharpened the chassis. The 890 Duke is a motorcycle that rewards a rider who can be precise with the throttle out of slow corners.
Where the Wrist Ends Up
At full throttle the standard grip has usually rolled the wrist past comfortable. A shorter sweep leaves it in a position the arm can hold through a corner exit.
Heated Grips
Factory heated grips are bonded to the standard tube on many models, which means the conversion costs them. It is worth knowing before the parts arrive.
The Anodised Finish
Converted into the surface rather than painted onto it, which is why the assembly still looks the same after a season of cleaning products.
Storage
The standard assembly is plastic and will not corrode, but the connector will. A bag and a dry shelf are the whole of the requirement.
The Learn Routine, in Plain Terms
The controller is told to look at the throttle with the grip released and write down what it sees. Everything after that is measured from that number.
A Note on Resolution
Fewer degrees for the same range means each degree does more. That is the entire trade and it cuts both ways depending on where the motorcycle is ridden.
What the Reset Does Not Do
It does not adjust the part, tune the engine or change any map. It teaches the controller where closed now sits and nothing else. Anybody expecting a workshop visit to make the motorcycle faster has misunderstood which half of the job is which.
In the Wet
Less rotation for the same opening leaves less room for a cold, wet hand to be gentle. The riding mode helps and the mechanical ratio does not care about the weather. It is the clearest argument for keeping the standard assembly reachable.
