The JP ACC AP009 is a machined replacement for the RSV4 Factory's standard throttle assembly, aimed at riders whose hand runs out of travel before the engine runs out of revs.

Ohlins and Forged Wheels
The Factory specification is where Aprilia puts the semi-active suspension and the lighter wheels, aimed squarely at owners who take the motorcycle to circuits rather than to breakfast.
Ride by Wire
There is no cable pulling a butterfly here. The grip reports an angle and the electronics decide what the throttle bodies do with it.
Riding Modes
Rain, road, sport and whatever else the manufacturer offers all continue to work exactly as they did. The assembly reports an angle and nothing more.
Winter Gloves
Thick gloves eat rotation. A shorter sweep means the same hand position works in January that worked in July.
Pillion
A passenger amplifies every throttle input through the rider's back. A shorter sweep makes smoothness a skill rather than a default.
Adventure Bikes
The tall models in this list spend time on gravel, and a sensitive throttle standing on the pegs is a different proposition from a sensitive throttle on a circuit.

Sixty Against the Factory Figure
Manufacturers generally choose seventy to ninety degrees, because a generous sweep makes a powerful motorcycle forgiving to somebody not paying attention. Sound for a showroom, poor for a circuit. Sixty is short enough to remove the shuffle and long enough to leave usable resolution.
In the Wet
Less rotation for the same opening leaves less room for a cold, wet hand to be gentle. The riding mode helps and the mechanical ratio does not care about the weather. It is the clearest argument for keeping the standard assembly reachable.
