A Requirement, Not an Accessory
Most European race organisers mandate a rear rain light on a wet-declared session. It is a safety rule written after a series of incidents where a slower machine was invisible in spray, and scrutineers check it.
Why It Sits on the Handlebar
The light has to be switched by the rider, from the grid or from the pit lane, without dismounting. Building the control into the left cluster is the arrangement that requires no additional hardware in a cockpit that is usually already crowded.
Fitted With the Race Cluster
The kit works with JetPrime's race switch rather than alongside it, which is why the part number carries the same base. Ordering one without the other leaves a control with nothing to operate.
Cup Racing in the Wet
R7 series run in whatever weather arrives, and a wet round is where the rain light stops being paperwork. Spray from a 73 hp twin at racing pace is enough to hide a rider completely from the machine behind.
Operated With Cold Hands
A rain light is switched on at exactly the moment a rider is least dexterous: soaked gloves, a fogging visor and a grid marshal waving. A machined step around the control is what makes that press certain.
Sealed by Necessity
A component whose entire purpose relates to riding in the wet has to be sealed. The elements are sealed units inside a body milled from one block, with no moulded joint anywhere.
Black Anodised
A single finish. On a race-prepared motorcycle nothing in the cockpit should catch the eye, and black is the option that disappears.
