The Hot Jet
Twenty minutes after coming in, on a warm motorcycle. It is what actually ends competition switchgear, and a body machined from one piece gives it nothing to work on.
Modes on the Move
Damping mode, engine map, traction and engine braking, all changed while riding. On an S with semi-active suspension those adjustments happen more often, not less.
Sealed to Military Standard
Contacts specified far beyond what a road bike requires. Between rain at road speed and a pressure washer in a paddock, a naked bike's switchgear meets a great deal of water.
Apart and Together Again
A bike used at circuits is stripped between outings. A component cut from solid handles that indefinitely where a clipped moulded one gradually stops sitting square.

Nothing spliced into the harness. The road block returns in twenty minutes and leaves no evidence behind, which protects the value of an expensive motorcycle.
Four Finishes
Black, red, titanium and copper, grown into the aluminium. On a race bike the finish is chosen for how it survives cleaning rather than for how it looks at rest.
Semi-Active on a Naked
Electronically managed Öhlins on a bike with 208 horsepower and no fairing. The damping is doing continuous work rather than sitting at a single compromise.
Two Elements Per Side
The biplane winglets exist because nothing else keeps the front wheel down at the speeds this engine reaches. They are functional first and striking second.
Forged Wheels
The S's rims take rotating and unsprung mass out where both cost the most. On a bike this short and this powerful, the difference is felt at every direction change.
