The JP ES 051 removes the GSX-S950's charcoal canister and vents the tank the way it should be vented.

Fuel Vapour
Petrol evaporates in a warm tank and the pressure has to go somewhere. Emissions rules require it to be captured rather than released, which is what the canister exists for.
The Vessel Behind the Engine
A plastic container of activated charcoal, mounted where there is barely room for it. Three hoses and a bracket hold it in the most inconvenient part of the motorcycle.
What the Space Is Worth
Once it is out, the shock is reachable, the linkage is visible and an aftermarket exhaust hanger stops fouling anything. On a bike being worked on regularly that adds up.
Saturation
Fill the tank to the filler neck often enough and liquid fuel reaches the charcoal. The canister then stops absorbing and starts causing poor running, and no service interval addresses it.
The Breather Still Works
The tank vents through a proper fitting rather than an open hose. That distinction matters on a bike that gets laid on its side in a van.
The Purge Valve
Electrically monitored on European specification. Leaving it disconnected stores a fault, so the circuit is closed properly instead.
Conventional Forks
Suzuki fitted KYB units rather than the 1000's Showa items. It is the largest single difference between the two bikes and it costs less on a road than the specification sheet implies.
Five Model Years
The fitment covers 2022 to 2026. The 950 arrived with the restyled platform and shares its evaporative arrangement.
Weight and Position
The assembly is not heavy in isolation, but it sits high and behind the engine. Removing mass from there is worth more than the scale suggests.
Straight Back
The original bracket, hoses and vessel all refit. No part of the exchange is permanent.
