The inner side fairings are the panels you see through the gap between the tank and the outer bodywork — the surfaces that frame the radiator and the frame spars when you look at the bike from three-quarters front. Ducati moulds them in black plastic. In carbon they turn a functional void into the most visible part of the bike from the saddle.

The Part You Actually Look At
Most carbon on a motorcycle is admired in the garage and forgotten in motion. These panels are the exception: they sit in the rider's lower field of view every kilometre. That changes which finish makes sense. A high-gloss clear coat catches the sun and can be distracting in the corner of your eye; matt and satin sit quieter and are what most DesertX owners end up choosing here.
Structurally the demands are modest — these panels carry no load — so the value is in fit and surface quality. The moulds are taken from the original parts, which means the panel gaps around the tank and the frame stay the width Ducati intended, and the fixing tabs line up without persuasion.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati DesertX, 2022 to 2026. Pair, fitted with the original clips and screws. No trimming required, and the radiator shrouds do not have to come off on most bikes.
Road Approval
Neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval is published by the manufacturer for this set. These are cosmetic interior panels that carry no load and change no approved characteristic; confirm the position for your registration before road use.
Fitting Them With the Outer Panels
The inner fairings and the outer side fairings share fixing points in places, which has a practical consequence: if you intend to fit both the MD-DX22-C37 set and the MD-DX22-C36 side fairings, fit them in one session rather than months apart. Doing it together lets you set every panel gap once, with all the fasteners loose, instead of working around parts that are already torqued down.
If only one set is going on, these inner panels are the easier of the two and a reasonable place to start. They need no special tools and the alignment is forgiving, because the surfaces they meet are the tank and the frame rather than another moulded panel.
