Ducati built the SuperSport 950 for riders who want a sports bike's precision on roads that climb, twist and drop again for hours. The bars sit higher than on a Panigale, the seat takes a passenger, and the twin pulls cleanly out of tight bends from low revs. On a day in the mountains, that makes the front brake the busiest control on the bike. The Accossato EDF099 replaces the original brake lever of the 2021 to 2023 SuperSport 950 with a CNC-machined aluminium blade whose distance from the grip you set yourself.

Construction and Material Quality
The EDF099 is machined from aluminium on CNC equipment and then anodised, a process that grows the colour into the surface of the metal instead of laying paint on top of it. Two tones result: a hub that is always black, carrying the pivot and the reach adjuster, and a blade in the colour you pick. Between them there is no joint. The lever is rigid from end to end, which is what you want on a long descent, where the hundredth squeeze should feel exactly like the first.
Hairpins and Long Descents
Going up a pass, the SuperSport 950 barely needs its brakes. Coming down is a different job. Hairpin follows hairpin, each taken with a firm stop, a release and a gentle trail towards the apex, and after half an hour the fingers of the right hand have done more work than in a week of commuting. Two things make that easier. The first is a blade that meets the fingers where they already are, so each stop begins without a stretch; the adjuster near the pivot moves it in or out to suit your hand and glove. The second is length. The standard blade is close to the original lever and suits most riders. A long blade, made in gold, blue, orange and green, gives four fingers room and extra leverage, which some riders welcome on a descent that goes on for kilometres. The short one, which also exists in silver, is for those who brake with two fingers and keep the others on the throttle.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Ducati SuperSport 950, Accossato gives the model years 2021 to 2023. This listing covers the base model; the SuperSport 950 S is offered as a separate product. The lever mounts on the original master cylinder in place of the stock blade, and nothing else on the brake system changes. Black and red blades exist only in the standard length, silver in standard and short. After fitting, make sure the brake light responds as soon as the lever moves and that there is a little free travel before the pads bite.
Road Approval
For this lever no German ABE is documented. It is therefore sold for use on closed circuits.
