A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 01046-02

Where It Sits

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters. Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it.

Genuine Service Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Getting the Number Right

Order under 01046-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01046-02

Category: Screws

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01046-02_36f32c30-311e-4ee7-bac7-bdc5a9c09cf1.png?v=1788873013
