DescriptionThe whole story▼
End piece adjuster 2.5, Öhlins part number 21043-02. Needle and seat together meter the bleed flow; damage to either changes the whole adjustment range.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 21043-02
- Original Öhlins service part
Where It Sits
This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup.
Why the Original
An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation.
Identifying the Right Part
Order under 21043-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. An adjuster that turns without resistance has lost its detent; the setting is then guesswork. The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function.
Fitting and Setup Service
If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.
