A circlip holds axial position under load; if it springs, the assembly walks.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00329-19

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly and do not seal twice. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 00329-19 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon. Circlips are single-use in practice: once opened, the grip is no longer reliable.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00329-19

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00329-19_adc2222e-f2dc-46db-99e1-84c55560f1b7.png?v=1788869113
