How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears. At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head.
Make sure the tape sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result, then compare the value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat
- Keep the tape horizontal, along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes: usually choose the larger size
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without uncomfortable pressure points. A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Hakim Danish rides for Team AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI in Moto3. This is his 2026 season design applied to a road jet: red across the brow and the lower rear, a deep blue field textured like woven fabric, the rider number 13 in white, and DANISH set above the visor aperture.
What a replica design is, and what it is not
A replica is a paint scheme. This is a road helmet built to the same specification as every other Cosmo SV: the same HIRP shell, the same ECE 22.06 and DOT homologation, the same MT-ESP sun visor and MT-QVSS mechanism. You are buying the graphic.
What you are not buying is a racing helmet. Danish's own competition equipment is a different construction to a different standard, and no jet is raced anywhere. We say this plainly because replica graphics on road helmets get sold with a great deal of implication, and the implication is not true.
About the Danish 26 Season C5 finish
Gloss. Red occupies the front above the visor and returns as a broad panel at the lower rear, where the MT badge sits on white. Between them a deep blue field carries a fine woven texture — printed, not fabric — with the numeral 13 picked out in white. Grey and white shapes break up the crown, and a small national flag sits on the flank.
Gloss is the right call for a scheme with this much going on. On a matt surface a printed texture like the blue panel goes flat and reads as noise; under a gloss clearcoat it holds its depth.
The Cosmo SV underneath
The Cosmo SV is MT's 2024 demi-jet, and it is not a stripped-out helmet. It carries a drop-down sun visor, the patented MT-QVSS tool-free screen mechanism, a removable rear deflector, and a ventilation system of three front intakes and a rear exhaust with the vent pieces painted in the shell colour.
MT homologated it with its accessories fitted, intercom included, rather than as a bare shell — which is a more honest test of the helmet you will actually wear.
It is still an open-face
There is no chin bar. In a frontal impact the chin and jaw take a large share of the load and here they are uncovered. A race replica graphic does not change the geometry of the helmet it is painted on.
Buy this for town riding, for the sound and the air, for the fact that you can talk to someone at a light. If your riding is fast road and motorway, buy a full-face — and if you want Danish's colours on a full-face, the same design exists on the Targo S.
The MT-V-37 screen
A long MT-V-37 in impact-resistant material with high optical quality, closing along the whole edge of a large aperture. The MT-QVSS mechanism releases it with two buttons — no tools, no side plates, workable in gloves.
Smoked and mirrored screens are available separately and are not included; the clear one is fitted.
ECE 22.06 in plain terms
Mandatory across Europe since January 2024. Against the 22.05 it replaced it tests 18 impact points instead of five, at more than one speed, and adds an oblique impact against an abrasive anvil that measures rotational loading — the injury mechanism the old standard ignored entirely. There is also a Brain Injury Criterion ceiling. The Cosmo SV additionally holds DOT.
Sun visor and deflector
The MT-ESP shade drops from inside the shell and is cut deeper than most, which is worth more on a jet than on a full-face — an open-face gives low sun a completely clear path to your eyes.
The rear deflector pulls off without tools. On in autumn to stop the updraught behind the shell, off in summer when you want it. Ten seconds either way.
Retention and interior
The buckle is MT-Micrometric+ with a two-tooth minimum anchorage; the lining is removable and washable, and MT's EcoConscious construction means individual parts can be replaced rather than the whole helmet.
An open-face is also louder than a full-face, and no feature list changes that. There is no chin bar to break up the airflow, and the aperture is a large opening sitting at the height of your ears.
We would rather say this than let you find out. The good news is that noise scales sharply with speed: at town pace it is a non-issue, and the roads a jet belongs on are exactly the roads where it stays one. If you regularly ride above 100 km/h, wear plugs — that advice holds for full-face helmets too, and doubly here.
Where it sits in our MT range
The Cosmo SV is the top of our MT jet line. Below it the Viale SV S, the Street S and the Aeris, which drops the sun visor and the tool-free screen mechanism to reach a lower price.
If you want Hakim Danish's 2026 colours with a chin bar in front of them, the Targo S carries the same design as a full-face — same graphic, different helmet, and a category that protects your jaw.
Living with a gloss replica
Two practical notes. Gloss shows fingerprints and dust more than matt does, and it also polishes — a light swirl comes out of gloss and is permanent in matt. And red pigment is among the least UV-stable in a paint shop: keep the helmet out of prolonged direct sun when it is not on your head and the red stays where it started.
What it does not have
- No chin bar — see above.
- No safety rating. SHARP does not test open-face helmets; no ADAC or Snell figure exists.
- No Pinlock preparation on this screen.
- No racing homologation. This is a road helmet with a race-inspired design, and nothing more than that.
