DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some Tuono owners stay loyal for years and simply move from one Factory to the next. Between 2017 and 2024 that could mean crossing a generation, because Aprilia reworked the Tuono V4 Factory for 2021 with new bodywork and lights and an updated electronics package. Accossato lists its EDF099 brake lever for the Tuono V4 1100 Factory throughout that period. Machined from aluminium, fitted to the original master cylinder and adjustable in its distance to the grip, it is one of the few parts that could follow you from an older Factory to a newer one.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory, listed from 2017 to 2024
- Mounts on the original front master cylinder
- Distance to the grip adjustable at the hub
- Short, standard (approx. 138 mm) or long blade, depending on colour
- Seven anodised blade colours, hub always black
- Milled from solid aluminium on CNC machines
- Fixed design, no folding joint
- No German ABE documented, intended for the track
Construction and Material Quality
The EDF099 is produced as a single machined part. A solid aluminium blank is milled into hub and blade and then anodised, the hub turning out black and the blade in the colour chosen when you order. The anodised surface is harder than bare aluminium and cannot flake off the way paint can, which suits a lever that may move from one bike to another over the years. With no folding joint, the blade also has no hinge pin of its own to wear.
One Lever, Two Generations
Moving parts from an outgoing bike to its successor only works when the fitment carries over, and for the brake lever of the Tuono V4 1100 Factory it does. Accossato's listing runs without a break from 2017 to 2024, spanning the last years of the earlier Factory as well as the reworked model introduced for 2021. Sell a 2019 Factory and buy a 2023 one, and the EDF099 can come along; refit the original lever to the bike you sell, and its next owner receives it in standard trim. After the move, set the reach again on the new bike rather than trusting the old position, confirm that the brake light responds as soon as the blade moves, and make sure the lever still has a short idle stroke before the pads start to work. The clutch side is a different matter: Accossato's matching ESV04A is listed only up to 2021, so it cannot make the same journey to a later Factory.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two version names cover the Factory in Accossato's catalogue, Tuono 1100 Factory for 2017 to 2021 and Tuono V4 1100 Factory for 2017 to 2024, which together give the full span of 2017 to 2024. The EDF099 works with the bike's own master cylinder. Colour and length are chosen together: black and red are made in the standard size only, silver in standard and short, while blue, gold, green and orange come short, standard or long.
Road Approval
The EDF099 has no German ABE on file, so we supply it for track use.
