Shark's designation is EAR PADS, in French COUSSINETS D'OREILLE, in black and one universal size.

Key Features

Genuine Shark part IN8290P

Ear pads in black

Universal size, one variant

Listed weight 2 g

Customs tariff number 6117900000

How it goes on

Ear pads sit in the ear pocket of the comfort liner. Take out the cheek pad on that side first, lift the old ear pad out of its pocket and lay the new one in the same position, with the same side facing your ear. Then refit the cheek pad and try the helmet on before you ride; a pad that has slipped will press on the ear within ten minutes.

Supplied as

Ear pads as listed under IN8290P, in black, SKU IN8290PBLKTU. The fact sheet does not state a quantity per pack, and we do not add one.

Keeping it serviceable

Hand wash in lukewarm water, press the water out between two towels and let them dry fully before putting them back. Pads that go back damp flatten faster and take longer to dry inside the helmet.

When to replace it

Ear pads are compressed for the whole ride and soak up sweat along the way. Once they stay flat after being pressed, or the surface starts to crumble, they have stopped cushioning, and the edge of the ear pocket is what your ear feels instead. Shark names no helmet range for IN8290P in its price list or on its site, so match the number on the pads you take out.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/IN8290P-10650441875722-v2-platzhalter.png?v=1790599808
