The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it.

Key Features

Dimension A 49 mm

Öhlins part number 00403-05

Dimension B 110 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Function

At 49 mm, 110 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 00403-05 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Check dimension a 49 mm, dimension b 110 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00403-05

Category: Reservoirs

Dimension A: 49 mm

Dimension B: 110 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00403-05_f311b76a-dd0f-4e82-85d0-e481091398eb.png?v=1788871820
