ohlins-cylinder-head-62446-02
Öhlins Cylinder head – 62446-02

Cylinder head, Öhlins part number 62446-02. Reservoir tubes carry the gas charge and are built to the same standard as the working cylinder.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 62446-02

Original Öhlins service part

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. The cylinder head closes the working bore and carries the shaft seal and its bushing. Length here is the working length, not the overall dimension, which is why two similar tubes are not interchangeable. A tube that has been bottomed hard often shows a ring mark; that is a reason to replace it.

Why the Original

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 62446-02 in this case. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Öhlins hones its tubes to a defined surface finish rather than simply to a diameter. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 62446-02

Category: Cylinder Heads

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/62446-02_ad415ea0-7bb5-4266-bd60-ba68c13f0ca4.png?v=1788881170
