It is not an output part either. No element in an unmodified airbox makes a standard machine quicker, and on the restricted L the limit is a licence class. Afterwards give it open air and time, keep it away from radiators, hot-air guns and any flame, and refit it only when no dampness remains anywhere in the mat.
