The Superveloce is an F3 wearing a shape from 1973, and it works because MV Agusta resisted every temptation to make the retro part ironic. It is also a motorcycle bought overwhelmingly for how it looks — which means the owner will not accept a modification that shows, and will accept very little that changes the character. The Sprint Filter P08 CM135S is invisible by construction: it goes inside the standard airbox, in the space MV Agusta designed for a filter, and nothing about the bike looks or sounds different afterwards.

The Oro, the Ago and the Nero Carbon share one element

MV Agusta changed wheels, paint, exhaust and trim between the Superveloce versions, never the airbox. The same CM135S goes into all of them, and into the F3, Brutale, Rivale, Stradale and Turismo Veloce as well — eleven models. On a bike sold in limited runs with individual names, that shared part is quietly one of the more reassuring things about it.

Kept more than ridden

Superveloces cover fewer kilometres than the F3s they are built from, and spend more time parked looking correct. That is a duty cycle in which a paper filter ages while the odometer does not, and in which a service interval measured in kilometres arrives years late. A washable element removes the awkward question of whether it is worth buying a part for a bike that has done six hundred kilometres since the last service: clean it whenever it comes out, refit it dry, done.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry. Sprint Filter's maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.
