Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 01018-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Thread size and length identify the fastener; substituting a hardware-store equivalent is not sensible in a pressurised damper. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01018-01

Category: Ball Joint Spacers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01018-01_b3645eaa-7d15-412c-b8c7-be39015ed633.png?v=1788872877
