LS2 FF901 Advant X Chin Bar Glitter White

Genuine LS2 replacement chin bar for the FF901 Advant X, part 800901CBB02, finished to match the Solid White colourway. Gloss white with a fine metallic flake in the lacquer — LS2 calls it Glitter White, and it is a shade brighter than a flat white would be. On a single-colour helmet the chin bar is a third of what you see from the front, so a correct match matters more here than on a graphic shell where the eye is busy elsewhere.

The chin bar is the part of a flip-up that takes the abuse. It is the lowest point of the helmet when it is set down on a tank or a bench, it is what a dropped helmet lands on, and it is the section handled at every fuel stop and every set of lights. Being able to replace it — rather than the whole helmet — after a scrape in a car park is one of the practical advantages of a modular design.

It is also a certified structure rather than a cover. Under ECE 22.06 the chin bar is impact-tested and its lock is tested to stay shut, which is what earns the helmet its P classification; SHARP measured the same property independently and found it fully locked in 63 % of impacts. Fit the correct part, fit it properly, and check the lock engages positively on both sides before riding.
