Panigale V4 Styling
Ducati restyled the SuperSport in 2021 with the V4's front end and winglets. Nothing mechanical changed significantly and the motorcycle sold noticeably better afterwards.
The Same Sensible Idea
A hundred and ten horsepower, a comfortable riding position, a fairing that works and a trellis frame. Ducati has never given up on this concept even though the market keeps ignoring it.
Six-Axis Electronics
The 950 gained cornering ABS, traction control and wheelie control from an inertial platform. It brought a road-focused sports bike up to the electronic standard of the superbikes.
Throttle Housing Only
The switch block is unaffected. This is the throttle assembly by itself, which suits an owner whose switchgear works and who objects only to the moulded plastic.
A Machined Bore
Cut rather than formed, so the tube stays concentric and the grip keeps its feel. On a bike ridden for long days, that smoothness matters more than any specification figure.
Black Anodised
Converted into the aluminium rather than sprayed over it. There is no coating to lift from an edge after years of gloves and weather.
Ergal 7075
An aerospace grade at roughly double the strength of ordinary machined aluminium. On a clamped bar component, that is a structural difference rather than a specification claim.
Winglets on a Road Bike
They are largely cosmetic at the speeds a SuperSport is actually ridden, and Ducati fitted them anyway because the V4 had them. It is an honest piece of family resemblance.
A Category Nobody Sells
Fast, faired, comfortable and not a superbike is a description that fits almost nothing on the market. Manufacturers keep abandoning the space and Ducati keeps building for it, which is either stubbornness or a genuine understanding of what a great many riders actually want.
