Aligned Rather Than Staggered
One of two patterns, chosen by whatever master cylinder is on the bike. An R almost always has an aftermarket assembly by the time anyone thinks about the switchgear.
Fitment by Year
The R's cockpit hardware follows the 2025 platform rather than the earlier one. Homologation specials change often enough that the model year is the only reliable way to order.
Clamping Without Distortion
A machined bore holds the handlebar evenly rather than pinching it at two points. On a bike that gets bars replaced after crashes, not deforming the tube is a practical benefit.
Feedback Through Leather
Race gloves are thick and stiff. What survives them is the abruptness of a switch's action, and that survives better through aluminium walls than through plastic ones.
Torque, Repeatedly
Threads cut into billet take a proper figure and take it again after the twentieth removal. A moulded boss does not, and on a bike stripped between rounds that difference shows quickly.
Still Water, Long Contact
What kills a terminal is not the wash but the hours afterwards, with moisture sitting in a joint. Removing the joint removes the mechanism entirely rather than slowing it down.
Under the Capacity Limit
Nine hundred and ninety-eight cubic centimetres from a shortened stroke. The R exists because World Superbike requires a road version and it makes no pretence otherwise.
Built to Rev
Titanium connecting rods and a lightened crankshaft, because nothing conventional survives the ceiling a short-stroke Stradale reaches over a season of racing.
Aerodynamics That Work Early
The R's bodywork produces measurable load well below top speed. Keeping the front wheel loaded under acceleration is the actual problem and the wings are the actual answer.
