DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ACCGP AP009 fits the Aprilia RS 457, bringing the GP Series throttle's sixty-degree rotation to a bike whose standard twist-grip asks for a wider arc, along with a progressive spring and three external preload stages that the factory part on this entry-level sportbike does not offer.
Key Features
- Aprilia RS 457 (2024–2026)
- GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
- Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
- Standard throttle assembly refits at any time
An Entry Point, Not a Compromise
Aprilia built the RS 457 as an approachable route into sportbike riding, but an approachable chassis does not mean every component is tuned as finely as the rider might eventually want, and the throttle is one of the parts most riders only think to question once they have logged real miles.
Less Arc to Cover
Where the standard throttle on this model asks for a wider rotation to reach full opening, the GP Series housing cuts that arc to sixty degrees, shortening the distance the wrist travels without changing how the electronic sensor underneath interprets that movement.
A Twin Built for Learning the Ropes
The RS 457's parallel-twin is tuned to be forgiving at low revs and progressively more engaging higher up, a character that suits riders building confidence, and a throttle that resists more as it opens further gives those riders a clearer sense of how much they are asking for.
Three Stages as Confidence Grows
A lighter preload setting suits a rider still learning the bike's limits, while a firmer one suits the same rider months later when confidence and pace have both grown; moving between the two takes a screwdriver, not a new part.
Fits the 457's Own Housing
Built specifically to this model's throttle body, the part does not require any modification to surrounding components, and the usual diagnostic reset of the throttle position finishes the installation.
A Reversible First Upgrade
Because the stock housing is not permanently altered, an owner who later sells the RS 457 or wants to compare the two feels can refit the factory grip using the same mounting points at any time.
