DescriptionThe whole story▼
Husqvarna's FC 250 arrived in 2014 as the small motocross four-stroke of a thoroughly renewed range, and Accossato's brake lever list splits the model neatly in two. The AGD316 covers the bikes from 2014 to 2017; from 2018 onwards a different code applies. For once there is no overlap to puzzle over, which makes ordering simple as long as you know what year your FC 250 is. The AGD316 is a silver front brake lever in the shape of the original.
Key Features
- Brake lever of the original type for the Husqvarna FC 250
- Accossato's entry runs from 2014 to 2017
- Silver
- Fits the right of the bar, front brake
- An original spare parts type, sold as an inexpensive replacement
- Accossato reports greater resistance after damage, thanks to the production process
- A single lever per pack
- No approval papers available; for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
The AGD316 is shaped after the brake lever Husqvarna fitted to the FC 250 of those years, which is precisely what Accossato means by an original spare parts type. The range was put together to give a fair price on parts that motocross riders replace regularly, and Accossato states that its manufacturing process increases the resistance of these levers after damage or a fall. This one is silver. The company publishes no dimensions and names no material, so the description ends there.
When the Model Year Decides
An application list that divides cleanly by year is a gift, but it only helps if the year is right. Racing machines change hands often and are not always registered, so the paperwork that would settle the question on a road bike may not exist. Look instead at the frame number, which a dealer can decode, and at the bike itself: the range was revised thoroughly partway through this period, and a rider who knows the model can usually place a machine within a year or two on sight. If any doubt remains, the lever on the bike is the final check. Take it off, lay it on a plain surface and photograph it from directly above, then compare the curve of the blade and the area around the pivot with our pictures. Send us the photograph if you would rather be sure before ordering. Whichever lever you end up with, clean the pivot and the bore, grease them lightly, and check the pressure point at a standstill before the first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's entry for the AGD316 runs from 2014 to 2017 on the FC 250, and the AGD14 takes over from 2018 to 2021. The same AGD316 appears in our catalogue for the FE 501, the TE 125 and the TE 250 as well, so it covers a good deal of the Husqvarna range of those years. The original-type clutch levers for the FC 250 are the AGS14 and the AGS17, split by year in much the same way. Accossato's CNC brake lever for this bike is the B8283.
Road Approval
For the AGD316 no approval papers have been supplied to us, neither a German ABE nor a test mark, so we list it for racing and competition use.
