DescriptionThe whole story▼
Group rides on bikes like the Yamaha XT250X have a familiar rhythm: long, easy stretches, then a sudden halt at the one obstacle everybody has to tackle in turn. While the first rider struggles up a muddy bank, the others wait with engines running and feet down. For the XT250X of 2006 to 2015, Accossato makes the C7307, a folding clutch lever CNC-machined from Ergal 7075 in Italy. Its long blade gives the hand room for four fingers, and it sits on a joint that lets it fold forward when the bike topples.

Construction and Material Quality
A clutch lever that is pulled in and let out all day should be strong and light, and reliable as well: those are the three aims Accossato names. The C7307 is CNC-machined in Italy from solid Ergal 7075, a high-strength aluminium alloy, and divides at a joint into a dark base, which holds the pivot at the clutch perch, and a black or blue blade that can fold. As a clutch lever, the blade is long and drawn for four fingers, so the pull is shared across the whole hand, which matters on a day when the lever is held in again and again.
Waiting in Line at the Obstacle
Waiting at an obstacle is more tiring than it looks. The bike stands in gear with the clutch pulled in, or in neutral with the engine ticking over and the rider's hand ready on the lever; the queue creeps forward a few metres at a time, and each move means letting the clutch out a little and pulling it in again. On a long group ride, a surprising share of the day can pass like this. A four-finger lever lets the whole hand share the load, and many riders use the waits in neutral to shake out their forearms and let the tension go.
Queues on slopes and in mud are also where many tip-overs happen. A rider shuffling forward loses footing, the XT250X leans and settles onto its side, often in slow motion and to a chorus of friendly laughter. On the left it is the clutch lever that meets the ground. The C7307's blade can pivot forward at the joint instead of breaking, so the rider can stand the bike up, push the blade back and take a turn at the obstacle with everyone else. It is a likelihood rather than a certainty, but it keeps a harmless topple from turning into a stranded bike at the back of the queue.
Fitment and Compatibility
The C7307 is the clutch-side partner of the B8307 brake lever; Accossato lists both for the Yamaha XT250X from 2006 to 2015. The clutch lever goes on the original perch in place of the stock part. Colours are the same on both sides, black or blue, so a pair in one colour is simple to put together.
Road Approval
The C7307 has no documented German ABE. The XT250X is a road-registered bike, but with this lever it is not approved for public roads; the lever is sold for off-road use.
