Jets meter fixed bleed flow and are sized in tenths of a millimetre. Port area sets how much oil can pass before the shims begin to lift. Twin-tube pistons have separate paths for compression and rebound, which is the whole point of the design.

Why the Original

Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 05665-12. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins uses a piston band rather than metal-to-metal contact, which is what keeps the bore intact. The seat face has to be flat enough for the first shim to seal against it.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05665-12

Category: Valves

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05665-12_98b53028-847f-45e1-8b1a-c1c56b1ce5ae.png?v=1788876982
