One point two kilos, in place of seven point seven — and the catalytic converter stays on the motorcycle. Spark's racing 3/4 kit replaces the Speed Triple's bulky standard box with a TIG-welded titanium snail and a Grid-O silencer, and it needs no remap to do it.

Six and a Half Kilos, Legally Complicated

The number is the largest in Spark's Speed Triple range by a wide margin, and it comes from what the kit removes: the standard collector box under the engine, which on this motorcycle is a very heavy component.

Spark marks the kit as not recommended for road use and for racing use only. Note what it does not say — the catalytic converter is not the issue here, because it stays on the bike. The restriction is about noise and certification, not emissions. That is an unusual and honest position: the kit is a race part that happens to leave the emissions hardware alone.

The Snail

Spark calls the link pipe a chiocciola — a snail — and the name describes the shape. It is a tight spiral of TIG-welded titanium segments that takes the gas from the header into the silencer in the space the standard box used to occupy.

Building it from welded segments rather than bending a tube is what allows the radius to be that tight without collapsing the section. Each seam is where two calculated pieces meet, and Spark leaves them visible. On a naked bike, with nothing covering the area under the engine, that is a component you will look at.

No Remap, dB Killer Included

Two things make this an easier purchase than most race kits. The ECU does not need remapping, because the catalytic converter and the lambda arrangement are untouched. And the Grid-O comes with its dB killer rather than as an optional extra.

Spark also states that the exhaust should be used with the dB killer installed. On the underseat racing kits it prints the same instruction — it is how a Grid-O on this engine stays inside a circuit's limits.

Fitment & Compatibility

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2021 through 2026. For MY2025 onwards the SKIT132 small parts kit is required. The snail link pipe on its own, for use with the homologated GTR0105TOM silencer, is GTR0107R. The clamp for the cover is SGATT980.
