A Single Model Year
This fitment covers the 2026 R. Homologation specials change frequently and the cockpit assemblies change with them, so the model year is the first thing to confirm.
Housing and Contacts as One
The right-hand switches are integrated into the throttle housing. On an R, where almost everything else has been specified upward, this is one of the last moulded components.
Built to a Rulebook
The R exists so Ducati can race the Panigale in World Superbike. Its capacity, its internals and its aerodynamics are all answers to regulations rather than to a marketing brief.
Sealed to Military Standard
Elements enclosed within the machined body, specified well past road requirements. An R lives at circuits, where hot washing and wet paddocks are routine.
A Machined Bore
Cut rather than formed. On an engine calibrated as precisely as an R's, a throttle tube with play reports a slightly wrong angle every time it moves.
Black Anodised
Converted into the aluminium. Against carbon panels and exposed titanium fastenings it recedes rather than competing.
Ergal 7075
Aerospace grade at roughly twice the strength of ordinary machined alloy. On a motorcycle that will see gravel at some point, the material is chosen accordingly.
Aerodynamics That Are Not Decoration
An R's winglets are developed for the racing bike and produce measurable load well below top speed. With this much power, keeping the front wheel down is a real problem to solve.
Ducati's Own Plug
Pre-wired to the original connector so nothing is cut into the loom. The exchange is mechanical and leaves no trace in the diagnostics.
