DescriptionThe whole story▼

The JP ACCGP TR039 fits the Street Triple 765 RS, Triumph's sharpest naked triple, reducing the electronic throttle's rotation to just 60 degrees. The RS's throttle position sensor and ride-by-wire mapping stay factory standard; only the mechanical distance the grip travels to reach full throttle is shortened.

Key Features

  • Triumph Street Triple 765 RS (2017–2026)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

Built to Be Pushed

The RS tops the Street Triple range with the firmest suspension, the sharpest geometry, and a chassis set up to reward a rider who commits fully to the throttle on corner exit. A shorter throw matches that intent, cutting the rotation between a small input and a full one.

Three Settings, One Housing

Return spring preload can be set across three positions from outside the unit, letting a rider choose how much resistance is felt at the start of the throttle's travel without disassembling anything. A track-day setting and a road setting do not have to be the same.

A Mechanical Shortcut

The reduction to sixty degrees of rotation is mechanical rather than electronic, altering the internal ratio of the throttle rather than the signal sent to the ECU. The sensor itself and its calibration stay as Triumph fitted them. Everything downstream of that sensor, including any rider aids, continues to behave exactly as it did before the swap.

The 765 at Full Stretch

Triumph's 765 triple in the RS is tuned to pull hard right through the revs, and a shorter throttle throw keeps the time between asking for that pull and receiving it as brief as the chassis is set up to reward.

The Sensor Does the Same Job

Inside the housing, the throttle position sensor reports to the ECU exactly as the standard part does, which means the RS's traction control and fuelling continue to see the signal they were calibrated around. Only the travel required to reach that signal's maximum changes.

A Relearn, Not a Recalibration

Fitting ends with a short throttle position relearn through the bike's diagnostic port, which resets the ECU's baseline to the new unit. It is routine work that any workshop familiar with Triumph diagnostics can complete quickly. No change reaches the fuelling tables that sit underneath the throttle position reading.
