DescriptionThe whole story▼
Standing on the pegs over rocks and roots, an Enduro R rider steers as much with the throttle as with the bars, and the JP ACCGP KT016 shortens that control to a 60-degree sweep. Fitted to the 690 Enduro R (2014-2024), it keeps the single-cylinder's punchy delivery but asks less rotation to reach it.
Key Features
- KTM 690 Enduro R (2014–2024)
- GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
- Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
- Standard throttle assembly refits at any time
Steering With the Right Hand, Not Just the Bars
Off-road riding on a big single often means using throttle to shift weight and settle the chassis as much as to accelerate, especially standing up over rough terrain. A long rotation makes that kind of precise, repeated metering harder than it needs to be; a shorter one brings the throttle's reaction closer to the rider's intent.
Gloved Hands and a Shorter Reach
Thick off-road gloves already reduce feel at the grip, and a long rotation compounds that by asking for more wrist movement to notice small changes in throttle position. Cutting the stroke to 60 degrees means less of that movement is needed to find the same opening, which helps even through thick winter gloves.
A Spring Built for Standing, Not Sitting
Much of an Enduro R's riding happens standing on the pegs rather than seated, and the hand's angle on the grip changes with that posture. The progressive spring's resistance curve gives a consistent cue regardless of hand position, which matters more on a bike ridden standing than on one ridden seated most of the time.
Billet Construction for a Bike That Gets Dropped
Off-road riding means falls, and a cast component can crack under an impact that a billet one survives. Machined from solid Ergal 7075, this housing is built with that kind of use in mind rather than the gentler handling a road-only naked bike might see.
Three Preload Stages for Trail and Transport Stages
Rally-style routes often mix technical trail sections with road transport stages between them, and the three external preload settings let a rider firm the spring for aggressive trail riding or soften it for the easier road portions, adjusted at a stop without tools beyond what the setting itself needs.
Rebuilding to Stock After a Season
A hard-used enduro sometimes goes back to original specification before a sale or a service, and the factory throttle body refits in the same mounts this one occupies, with the usual ECU relearn of throttle position finishing the return to stock.
