DescriptionThe whole story▼
The frame guard covers the exposed section of chassis on the left flank, where the rider's boot passes and where a fall makes contact. This number is specific to the 899.
Key Features
- Left frame protection guard in the original outline
- 200 Plain weave, clear coat, matt, satin or raw
- Autoclave-cured, original mounting points
- Right side available as MD-8913-C80R
- Listed by Fullsix for the 899 Panigale only
A Part Number That Exists for One Model
Most of the Panigale carbon range carries over between the 1199, 1299 and 899. This one does not, and the reason is structural: the 899 uses a double-sided swingarm where its bigger siblings use a single-sided arm, and the chassis around it is shaped differently as a result.
So the fitment line here is short on purpose. Nothing from the 1199 or 1299 catalogue substitutes for it.
What It Is Protecting
Underneath is the aluminium monocoque, which is the airbox and the frame in one component. It is expensive, it marks easily, and it is not a part anyone wants to discover damage on. The guard takes the boot heel and the low-speed contact instead.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati 899 Panigale, model years 2013 to 2015, on the original frame guard mounting points.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It sits on the chassis without altering it, and nothing is documented.
Fitting
Clean the frame underneath before fitting, because grit trapped between guard and aluminium grinds in over time. Check nothing sits proud where a leg passes.
