DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built for the rigours of professional racing, the Extreme Components GP EVO Aluminium Brake Lever Guard is the product of over a decade of motorsport engineering — designed alongside factory race teams and refined in the wind tunnel to deliver uncompromising safety and aerodynamic performance at the limit. Machined from solid billet aluminium using advanced 3D design technology, this is track-day and race-homologated protection at its finest.
Key Features
- Solid billet aluminium construction, fully CNC-machined for exceptional strength with minimal weight — engineered for the demands of circuit racing
- Wind-tunnel-optimised aerodynamics channel airflow efficiently and reduce drag, giving this guard a functional advantage beyond pure protection
- Innovative "Descending-Ascending" profile engineered to allow the rider to release their hand from the handlebar rapidly in an emergency
- Redesigned internal spoke structure maximises impact absorption when a collision or contact occurs, preventing inadvertent brake lever activation
- Rotatable front spoiler allows further aerodynamic tuning to suit different circuit configurations and riding styles
- Gloss hard-anodised finish with precision 0.8 mm CNC-milled lines delivers a professional racing aesthetic and outstanding long-term durability
- Supplied with a dedicated spacer kit for fitment to handlebar inner diameters from Ø14 mm to Ø19 mm — straightforward installation on virtually any racing clip-on
Racing Engineering in Detail
3D-Designed Billet Aluminium Construction
Every GP EVO guard starts life as a solid block of high-grade aluminium that is fully CNC-machined using Extreme Components' proprietary 3D design process. The result is a part that is both featherlight and extraordinarily rigid — precisely what racing demands when fractions of a second and rider safety are inseparable.
Safety-Optimised Architecture
Developed in direct collaboration with professional racing teams, the guard's internal spoke structure has been redesigned from the ground up to absorb and disperse impact energy more effectively than previous generations. The signature "Descending-Ascending" geometry is not a styling choice — it is a calculated engineering decision that enables rapid hand release from the handlebar in situations where that response can prevent a crash or reduce its consequences.
Wind-Tunnel Aerodynamics
The GP EVO's profile was shaped and validated in a wind tunnel to manage airflow around the lever area, reducing turbulence and aerodynamic drag. The rotatable front spoiler adds a further layer of adjustability, allowing teams and riders to fine-tune the guard's aerodynamic contribution to the overall package.
Hard-Anodised Finish
The gloss hard-anodising process used on the GP EVO creates a surface that resists corrosion, abrasion and the heat cycles inherent to circuit use. The 0.8 mm CNC-milled decorative lines are machined after anodising, ensuring crisp, precise definition that will not fade or peel under race conditions. 100% Made in Italy.
Track Use Notice
This brake lever guard is intended exclusively for track and racing use. It is not approved for road use and should only be fitted as part of a competition or dedicated track-day build.
