DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Triumph Street Triple 675 RX was a sportier variant of the triple, catalogued by Accossato for 2015 and 2016. Many of them are now kept by enthusiasts and ridden on good days, but some still see regular use in all weathers. For owners who ride their RX whatever the forecast, Accossato lists the AGPA38 front pad in Sintered (ST) compound, fitting the 675 RX from 2015 to 2016.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the Triumph Street Triple 675 RX, 2015 to 2016
  • AGPA38 shape in Sintered (ST) compound, article AGPA38ST
  • For riding in changing weather and on long days
  • Accossato cites consistent grip hot and cold, and wet bite
  • Two pads per box; two boxes for the twin front calipers
  • Also available on this shape as EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No German ABE; supplied for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says its ST compound keeps a high, constant grip at high and low temperatures and grips well in the wet. On the AGPA38 plate for the 675 RX, that gives a front brake with a predictable feel regardless of weather. Among the general aims of its pads, Accossato names long life and limited heating.

An Enthusiast's Bike in All Weathers

Owners of special versions sometimes hesitate to ride them in rain, but a 675 RX that is used regularly is often in better condition than one that sits for months. Brakes in particular suffer from long periods of inactivity: pistons stick, discs rust and fluid absorbs moisture. A sintered front pad suits riders who take their RX out regardless of the forecast.

Care After Wet Rides

After riding in rain, dry the bike and check the calipers. Clean the pistons at each pad change and renew the fluid on a regular schedule. The RX has two front calipers, so replace all four pads together and bed them in with steady stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the RX, Accossato's fitment runs from 2015 to 2016 and names the AGPA38 as the front pad. Because each of the two front calipers needs its own set, buy a pair of boxes. The matching rear pad for those two years is AGPP91, and Accossato's DK203 disc is also on the list for this bike. Riders wanting more bite on track can look at the EV1, EV2 or ZXC versions of the same plate.

Road Approval

No test documents or German ABE have been supplied to us, so these pads are offered for track and competition use.
