DescriptionThe whole story▼
Forest tracks are full of small ditches. Some are drainage channels cut across the trail, some are ruts left by forestry machines, and on a Husqvarna TE 250 most of them are taken with a quick lift of the front wheel. The timing comes from the left hand: a short pull on the clutch, a snappy release with the throttle open, and the front rises just enough to clear the far edge. For the TE 250 from 2014 to 2016, Accossato's C7283 does that job with a folding, four-finger blade made from solid Ergal 7075.

- Blade in black, blue, orange or red; dark base
- No German ABE documented; for off-road riding
Construction and Material Quality
Enduro runs through Accossato's history, and an enduro world title in 1985 is part of it. Its off-road levers are made in Italy, and the C7283 is machined from Ergal 7075 by taking a solid piece of that strong aluminium alloy and removing material until only the lever is left. Strength, lightness and reliability are the aims the company names. The lever has a dark base, which carries the pivot at the clutch control, and a blade in your chosen colour, linked to it by a joint. On the clutch side the blade is long, sized for four fingers.
Ditches and Water Bars
A water bar is a ridge or channel built diagonally across a trail to lead rain away, and on hillside tracks an enduro rider meets dozens of them. Taken slowly, they knock the front wheel into the far edge; taken with the front light, they vanish beneath the bike. The method is to pull the clutch in briefly while holding the revs, then let it out quickly so the rear wheel drives hard for an instant. The front lifts, the rear follows over the gap, and the rider barely feels it. After a few outings on the TE 250 it becomes second nature.
Misjudge it and things get untidy. Let go too early and the front wheel drops into the ditch; let go too hard and the bike wheelies, lands crooked and falls to the left. Either way the clutch lever tends to hit the ground or the far bank. Because the C7283's blade is hinged to its base, it can swing clear when that happens. That is not a guarantee, and a sharp edge can still harm it, but it improves the chances of riding out of the ditch with a working clutch instead of limping home without one.
Fitment and Compatibility
The C7283 is listed by Accossato for the Husqvarna TE 250 of 2014 to 2016, including the version it names TE 250 L, and replaces the original lever at the clutch mount. Owners of a 2017 or 2018 TE 250 need a separate clutch lever, the C7284. The folding front brake lever for this bike is the B8283, listed from 2014 to 2018. Red is offered only on this clutch lever; black, blue and orange are common to both.
Road Approval
Accossato has no German ABE for the C7283. Many TE 250s wear a number plate, but the lever is intended for off-road riding and competition, not for road use.
