Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Why the Original

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 21627-25 in this case. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. The fork bottom carries the axle and takes the braking load into the fork. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21627-25

Category: Fork Bottoms

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21627-25_10e63fe1-3341-4638-a4fc-066183daa974.png?v=1788879680
