DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 046 closes the 1390 Super Duke R's air injection ports with billet plugs on O-ring seals.
Key Features
- KTM 1390 Super Duke R (2024–2026)
- Caps the air injection port in the head
- Turned from solid billet
- Sealed with an O-ring, no jointing compound
- Uses KTM's own fastener positions
- Standard housing refits at any time
The Housings
A reed assembly on each cylinder head with a hose from the airbox. They admit air on every closed throttle and nothing else.
A Hundred and Ninety Horsepower
KTM has taken the naked class further than any road can absorb. The chassis and the electronics are what make the figure usable.
A New Frame
The 1390 gained a revised chassis with different flex characteristics. KTM chases feedback rather than outright stiffness, which is why these bikes talk to the rider.
Why Billet
Plastic on a cylinder head has a limited life and improvised plugs leak. A turned cap on an O-ring outlasts the engine.
Both Heads
The V-twin carries the arrangement twice and both sides have to be capped.
A Dyno Regular
Super Dukes are exhausted and remapped more than most motorcycles. Air entering after combustion makes those readings worthless.
Under Warranty
The 1390 is current, so a reversible part on original fasteners is the only sensible approach.
Original Positions
KTM's own bolt spacing and torque values, with nothing drilled anywhere.
The Solenoid Circuit
Still watched by the controller and handled by the electrical eliminator.
Homologation
Emissions equipment belongs to the approval and removing it ends road legality in Europe.
Nowhere Left for the Class to Go
A hundred and ninety horsepower in a chassis with wide bars and no fairing is more than any public road can absorb, and KTM has spent two generations demonstrating that the number was never the point. What makes the 1390 remarkable is how calm it is at the speeds people use.
Still in Its First Ownership
Most 1390 Super Dukes are barely run in, which changes what an owner should be willing to fit to one. A part that mounts on the factory fasteners and comes off again in minutes protects the warranty position on everything else, and that is worth more than any claimed gain.
