DescriptionThe whole story▼

The R7 takes the CP2 twin and wraps it in a genuinely small, light sportbike, which makes it a favourite of riders who did not want another 200-horsepower litre bike. Small and light also means the controls matter more, because there is less bike between you and what the tyres are doing.

Key Features

  • Central adjuster wheel, reachable from the riding position
  • Folding blade that swings clear instead of snapping off
  • Engineered break point inside the two-finger zone
  • Phosphated pivot seat, free of play from new
  • CNC-machined from solid aluminium, black anodised
  • Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203

What the Lever Is Made Of

Machined from one piece of aluminium, anodised black, with a phosphated pivot seat. The treatment matters more than the finish: it is what keeps the blade moving cleanly after a season rather than picking up the notchiness that makes a clutch feel unpredictable at low speed.

Clutch Feel on a Light Bike

On a bike as slim as the R7, clutch control is a large part of how tidy you look at walking pace. The adjuster wheel moves the engagement point through 35 shallow detents, so you can put it exactly where your hand closes rather than accepting the nearest of four coarse settings. It holds without a lock nut.

Folding, and Why It Matters Here

Light bikes get dropped in car parks more often than heavy ones get crashed on track. A hinged blade swings clear instead of snapping at the perch, and the break point sits inside the two-finger area where a controlled failure costs the least.

Road Approval

Holds ABE No. KBA 91203 for road use in Germany. Print the certificate from the download on this page and keep it with the registration documents; no separate inspection is needed. The blade must not be modified.

Scope of Delivery

A single black clutch lever for the R7. The switch actuator comes across from the factory lever and is not supplied, so plan a few minutes for that transfer before the first ride.
