DescriptionThe whole story▼

A competition weekend is planned in boxes. Tyres, levers, a spare set of bodywork and, somewhere near the bottom, the friction material for the front end. Accossato's ceramic option for that box is the ZXC ceramic racing compound, and on the AGPA106 outline it carries the article number AGPA106ZXC, listed for the 2024 CFMOTO NK 800 in GP trim. It is not a material anybody buys for the ride to work; it is one chosen before an event and fitted along with the rest of the preparation.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the CFMOTO NK 800 of 2024
  • AGPA106ZXC: the AGPA106 outline in the ZXC ceramic racing material
  • Accossato describes the mixture as a ceramic one intended for racing
  • Two pads in a box, the set a single caliper takes
  • Catalogue entry: NK 800 GP, 2024 season
  • The same outline is also pressed in ST, EV1 and EV2
  • Rear pads for this machine: the AGPA29, 2024 to 2026
  • No German ABE; sold for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's line on this compound is a single sentence, and the word carrying it is ceramic. The factory files it among the racing materials rather than the road ones, which tells you where it expects the article to be fitted. The AGPA106 plate underneath is unchanged from the other versions of the pad, so a rider moving between materials across a weekend is altering one variable and leaving the fit alone. On the box, only the suffix says which one is in your hand.

What Goes in the Spares Box

Preparation is mostly counting. A rider with two sets of front material for the weekend can afford to fit fresh pads on Sunday morning; a rider with one set spends Saturday evening looking at what is left and doing sums. Since a box covers a single caliper, the arithmetic on a machine with two of them is easy to get wrong in the wrong direction.

It helps to write down when a set went in and which sessions it ran, because material that came back from a wet Saturday is not in the same state as material that did three dry laps. The rest of the routine is familiar to anyone who works in a paddock: clean the pistons before pushing them back, keep anything oily well away from the disc faces, and pump the lever until it is solid before the bike leaves the awning.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA106 is listed for the NK 800 GP of 2024 alone. Alongside it the catalogue carries the AGPA96 for the NK 800 from 2024 to 2026, which means one season is served by two articles and the caliper, not the model year, has the final say. Compare the outline of the pad that comes out with the one you are ordering. For the rear wheel Accossato lists the AGPA29 from 2024 to 2026, where one box is enough for the single rear caliper.

Road Approval

No German ABE covers the AGPA106ZXC and no test report has come to us with it. We list it accordingly: a part for racing, not for use on public roads.

Scope of Delivery

One box, two AGPA106 pads in the ZXC ceramic racing material, the set for a single caliper.
